This is the last day marked on our Calendar. All of Moura leads up to this final day: the Day on which our Lady is slain. She has passed through the seven gates of Hell, and has faced the Dark Queen. "And the Maid, looking upon her eyes, became a lifeless corse [corpse, archaic] and a dead thing upon the ground."
There are many different perspectives in our community on what exactly occurred when the Daughter was slain and brought back to life again. The most thoroughly discussed idea is probably the one the Janites and their sister groups ascribed to: the Divine Shattering. This is based on the idea of the Gnostic Sophia, where a portion of Her Soul lives in each of us through Her sacrifice. [I have linked a few blogposts below that go over this idea in more detail.] But there are certainly other ways to interpret the Divine Drama: a Madrian version believes that the physical part of Creation did not exist until the Maid was slain – that She literally became the fabric of the world itself.
Today is a solemn day for contemplation on this Mystery, of the Daughter's death and coming rebirth. Tomorrow, which is a day not marked on our Calendar, the theme continues and intensifies: as little activity as possible is performed on Hiatus, and nothing new begun.
This thread on an old forum discusses a few different interpretations of the Sacrifice:

This post in particular as a recap of the thread, explores the Madrian idea of the Sacrifice being the Creation:
