About

Filianism is a religion that worships our Mother God and Her Holy Daughter. It has its own Scriptures and rich religious tradition -- it is not an Abrahamic faith.

This blog was born out of a desire to make Filianism more accessible through religious imagery that people could connect with. Using pictures under the CC0 (Creative Commons Zero) License meant beautiful photography could meet scripture and bring both our religious texts and our calendar to the forefront on my own without needing a team of people to get it going. My initial year-long project to illustrate our calendar in this way ended in Autumn 2017/3337, though it was never fully finished as with each new year I continued to create and improve on what had gone before.

In late spring 2022/3342, I had a crisis of faith that led me to pull down much of my material, believing it to have been done in error and that leaving it up would lead further people astray. I have since restored the blog to its old form, though the Facebook, Pinterest, and Tumblr pages once associated with it have been deleted. I am unsure where my path leads in the future, and am unlikely to update this again, but will leave this blog alone, as is.

Thank you so much to everyone who has been along for the ride with me and wished me well when I left: I hope you all have bright, beautiful futures ahead.
