Festival's End

The third day of Tamala -- for all souls

We have now reached the end of our ‘spooky season’ with the final day of Tamala. We light candles and pray for the dead, for all souls, that they may have their burdens lifted, that they continue on their journey to Avala -- and beyond.

I have a specific rosary that I use only to pray for the dead with. Though you may pray a regular rosary with the intent of the recitation going to benefit the departed, there are specific prayers (such as the Eternal Rest prayer) for the dead that may be adapted for our use, or you may develop your own. Scriptural readings for Tamala are: the Heart of Water, verses 40-43; the Crystal Tablet, verses 1-11 & 18-29; and the Holy Mythos, verse 9:19.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween, despite the limitations imposed on us all during a time of uncertainty, and a blessed Tamala! (And don’t panic, but there’s only a month left until Advent starts?!?)
