Festival of Artemis

One of the lesser festivals of the year, this is a day about hope for the future of our faith: for its general spread and further acceptance among maid.

There is nothing particular prescribed for this day, but you may say a prayer or two for the growth of the faith! For those who lived in communities of Filianis/Madrians or who have families who also believe, this would be a day to celebrate; it may be appropriate for us to all light a candle wherever we are in the world on this day to join in an endeavour together as a mark of our kinship, however far apart we may be!

(From the ECE version of our Scriptures, page 214-217:

"It is thus on Her ancient festival that we celebrate Dea as helper and protectress of Her devotees on earth . . . Our Lady Artemis is the Daughter as Protectress and Guide of all Her worshippers and of those who are seeking Her in the dark . . . She Who ‘calls us out’ (ek-kaleo hence ‘Ekklesia’) from attachment to the material realms into Her family. ...For Artemis is ever active in the search for Her lost children.")
