Also known as Florimaia or Anthea's Day, after the Janya of flowers, we celebrate Our Lady of the Flowers today. Roses in particular are a special favourite with the Queen of Heaven--the appearance of roses or the heady scent of roses in full bloom are often a part of Marian visions--but today is the day to appreciate flowers of all kinds. Plant one, stop to smell one, cook with edible ones, visit a garden or take a nature walk, add some to your altar, make some out of paper or fabric, or take time to colour in a picture for some added cheer and celebrate the fullness of this season!
