Eve of the Rose

Tomorrow is the High Feast of Rosa Mundi. This really kicks off the fire-and-rose season, with bonfires & the gathering and giving of roses, along with the religious symbolism of the Inner Temple in the form of a Rose.

As written on the Mother God website: "Rosa Mundi immediately follows (in terms of the Great Festivals) the Exaltation, the feast of the Daughter's re-ascent to Heaven. Thus, in a sense, we are following the Daughter back to our home in the Mother."

There is a wonderful explanation of the festival further down that same page, describing each soul on its quest to the Mother to remind us that though in a sense, we are always with our Mother, the journey to actually reunite with Her is long and arduous. This festival celebrates us being on that quest, celebrates those who have succeeded in their quest, and encourages us to go ever further on that long and worthwhile adventure through life.
