The Beauty of the World

"Look upon the beauty of the world; for everything reflects the glory of Thea." The Secret of the World, verse 20

This chapter of our Scriptures deals with khear (or kear), what it is ("...khear is naught. Khear is the black abyss that has turned its face from My Mother...This abyss of khear lies between the world and My Mother, and every soul and She" [v5-6]) and how it affects all things. Khear is the 'echoless void' (v8) that has wound its way into all things, the cracks in perfection that mars all Creation. It is 'death and khear' that the Daughter has conquered (v16), that She conquers in us when we turn to Her "...for I shall open the way to your true soul, your laughing soul, all robed in white even lovelier than the sun; and through My death she shall be purified" (v18).

But though all of Creation is thus splintered, we are reminded in this verse to see the world anew. Though all of Creation is marred, it still "reflect[s] the perfect country of eternity" (The Three Loves v6) and the wondrous things in our world are both displays of what our Mother can do as well as wayfinders that point back to Her.

The Secret of the World, verses 20-21:
"Come to Me, My children, in the innocence of your hearts, and look upon the beauty of the world; for everything reflects the glory of Thea. Do not see the world through the eyes of the world, but through the eyes of the Eternal."
