Vaskaras 3340
It's the first of a new month: Vaskaras, the last summer month in the Filianic Calendar.
Vaskaras
is one of the few months we aren't really sure what the etymology
(meaning) is -- Rosea is obviously named for roses, Kerea for the Roman
Goddess Ceres, but Vaskaras, we're not sure. When I was first getting
started with the Calendar, it was called 'summer nights' or the 'evening
month' because the further we get from the summer Solstice, the longer
the nights get. Long warm evenings is what I think of when I think of
Vaskaras!
