Astraea

It is a new month! One of the best months, perhaps, for having Nativity in it!

This month contains all of Advent, beginning on the first day of Astraea (28 Nov) and concluding with Nativity (25 Dec). Advent this year (for Filyanis) is marked every Matidi/Wednesday - the 28th of November, and the 5th, 12th, and 19th of December - with the lighting of candles in the Advent Wreath.

The Conception of the Daughter is marked on the 11th of Astraea (8 Dec).

Nativity commences on the last day of the month, the 28th of Astraea (25 Dec).

This month is also considered the first month of the Winter season, and thus the official end to autumn.

Time for being joyful, time for putting up greenery and sparkling ornaments, time for gift-giving and good cheer, time to be glad for the Daughter and for each other - welcome Astraea!
