Bridge of Winter

The last month of winter: Brighe.

Brighe is named for the Janya of 'gates, bridges, and liminal spaces': an apt name for the month that brings us into the earliest stages of our Eastre cycle. Purple Monday occurs almost immediately this year (Brighe 2/Jan 24) which opens the purification season that lasts until the festival of Luciad (Brighe 10/Feb 1). We close the month with Moura Eve (Brighe 28/Feb 19).
